Update on North Umpqua River Conditions After High Flow Event
The North Umpqua River high flow event peaked yesterday Sunday December 29th at 2:30 PM with the USGS gage reporting 49,000 cfs and 17.7 feet gage height. This was near the 18-foot "action" height, but well below the 26-foot flood stage. This morning the river flow has decreased almost 50 percent in just 18 hours to about 26,000 cfs and 6 feet lower.
